Investigation
“If nowadays the linear concept of time is being questioned from various perspectives (followers of Benjamin, new materialisms, quantum theory...), how can we create other verb conjugations that account for alternative ways of conceiving time? On the other hand, if there is also a critique of the visual regime and how it inscribes itself in language through positionality, can we imagine uses of prepositions, prefixes, and adverbs that do not imply fixed positions in space? Additionally, if in ordinary language time and space partially overlap in modes of expression (after the nap, behind the door), how do modifications in each of these areas affect how we understand the other?
Through discussion and experimentation, we will attempt a supplement to the Spanish language to open a gap in language that allows for a broader range of relationships with time and space.”
